Checkered Barb (Puntius oligolepis)
The Checkered Barb is a small cyprinid native to Indonesia, appreciated for its silvery scales edged in black, which create a unique checkerboard pattern. Calm, lively, and easy to keep, it is ideal for planted community aquariums. Its metallic reflections become even more brilliant when kept in a group.
