Betta mahachai (Female)

A Betta mahachai colony is a rare and fascinating option for wild betta enthusiasts. Originally from the coastal areas of Thailand, this species naturally lives in slightly brackish waters rich in vegetation (often near nipa palms).

Unlike pet store Betta splendens, Betta mahachai is more natural, with intense green metallic reflections and a more territorial but structured behavior. In a colony (with plenty of hiding places and good territory management), it is possible to observe unique social interactions and spectacular displays.
