Yellow Lab Cichlid (Labidochromis caeruleus)
The Yellow Lab Cichlid is one of the most popular and recognizable fish from Lake Malawi due to its vibrant yellow color contrasted by fins often edged in black. Its striking appearance brings a touch of sunshine to any aquarium. It is appreciated as much for its beauty as for its relatively peaceful temperament, especially for a Mbuna.

Behavior: Moderately territorial, quite peaceful for a Mbuna

Tips:
Keep in small groups in an aquarium of 200 L or more, with numerous rocky hiding places and a sandy substrate. It tolerates cohabitation well with other peaceful Mbunas. Its yellow color remains vibrant in well-filtered, stable water and a diet rich in plant matter.
