Taiwan Reef Cichlid (Protomelas sp. “Steveni Taiwan”)
The Taiwan Reef Cichlid is one of the most spectacular Haps from Lake Malawi. Adult males display vibrant coloration with an electric blue head, intense red back, and a bright yellow stripe on the dorsal fin. Its flamboyant appearance and relatively peaceful temperament make it an excellent choice for a well-balanced Malawi aquarium.

Tips:
Keep in a harem in a spacious aquarium of at least 300 L, with mineral decor and a sandy bottom. It appreciates well-filtered, calm, and stable water. For vibrant colors, prioritize a varied, high-quality diet, including spirulina, krill, and other suitable protein sources. It can coexist with other non-aggressive Haps or Aulonocaras.
