Blue Zebra Cichlid (Maylandia zebra)

Originating from Lake Malawi, the Blue Zebra Cichlid is an iconic Mbuna species. It sports a magnificent electric blue coat with dark stripes reminiscent of a zebra pattern. Territorial yet fascinating to observe, it is suitable for well-structured rocky African tanks.

Characteristics:

• Adult size: 10 to 13 cm

• Behavior: Territorial, semi-aggressive

• Swimming zone: Bottom to middle

Tips:
Keep with other African cichlids in a well-structured aquarium with plenty of hiding places (rocks, caves). Avoid delicate plants: it prefers a rocky decor. Maintain a ratio of one male to several females and ensure strong filtration for well-oxygenated water.
