The Leporinus fasciatus, also known as the Striped Leporinus, is a superb tropical fish native to South America, recognizable by its slender body adorned with black and yellow bands reminiscent of a bee. Elegant and energetic, it brings a beautiful presence to large aquariums.
It is a lively and sometimes territorial fish, especially with other fish of the same size. It is therefore recommended to keep it with other robust fish in a large aquarium (minimum 200 L). It appreciates clean water, slightly acidic to neutral (pH 6.5–7.5) and a temperature between 24 and 28 °C.
Omnivorous, it feeds on pellets, blanched vegetables, and small prey.
A spectacular and characterful fish, ideal for enthusiasts of dynamic and colorful aquariums!
