Chinese Algae Eater (Gyrinocheilus aymonieri)
Often chosen for its ability to control algae, the Chinese Algae Eater is a robust and active fish native to Southeast Asia. It has an elongated body with a suction cup mouth that allows it to attach to surfaces and graze on algae. Be careful, however, as its behavior can become territorial as it ages.

Tips:
Preferably keep alone or with robust tank mates in a spacious aquarium of at least 200 L. It likes moderate currents and shaded areas. Although effective against some algae, its diet should be supplemented with blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach), dried algae, and vegetable pellets. Avoid keeping with slow fish or those with long fins, which it may bother as an adult.
