Native to Florida, the American Flag Fish is a small, hardy, and colorful fish whose patterns are reminiscent of the American flag. Ideal for peaceful community aquariums, it measures approximately 5 to 7 cm and is distinguished by its red, blue, and gold reflections.

It is also an excellent algae eater, often used to keep tank glass and plants clean. It prefers slightly alkaline water (pH 7.0 to 8.0) and a temperature between 22 and 28 °C.
