The Pseudomugil ivantsoffi, also known as "Ivantsoff's Rainbow Forktail Blue-eye", is a small freshwater fish native to Papua New Guinea. It attracts aquarists with its vibrant colors: a silver body enhanced with blue and yellow highlights, and fork-shaped caudal fins with striking black and white margins. Measuring about 3 to 4 cm as an adult, it is peaceful and gregarious, needing to live in groups of at least 6 individuals to fully express its natural behaviors. This fish appreciates well-planted aquariums with soft, slightly acidic water, at a temperature between 22 and 28°C. Easy to care for by experienced aquarists, the Pseudomugil ivantsoffi is ideal for adding color and activity to a peaceful community tank.
