Serpae Tetra (Hyphessobrycon eques)
The Serpae Tetra is a small tropical fish with a deep, intense red color, adorned with a distinctive black spot near its gill cover. Its flamboyant appearance immediately catches the eye in a planted aquarium. Sociable but sometimes a little mischievous, it thrives in groups, where its behavior becomes more balanced and less aggressive towards other species.
Tips:
Keep in groups of at least 6 to 10 individuals to avoid aggressive behavior. It prefers a planted tank with shaded areas and open swimming space. Avoid associating it with long-finned fish like guppies or angelfish.
